Manly Jazz Festival

Manly Jazz Festival – Saturday, 5th October to Monday, 7th October 2019

One way you can tell if a festival is any good is how long it’s been going for. The Manly Jazz Festival first started just after Captain Cook arrived (J)… well maybe a bit later than that although the local Aboriginal people may well have had their own festival. Point is it is a great festival for jazz lovers and even for those that don’t like jazz that much. Don’t miss it.

Whale Spotting in Sydney

Just quietly the Whales are Back!

Start of winter brings the Whales back to Sydney for their winter breach. Like many of us they find Sydney a little crowded so they generally hangout offshore. They have been known to check out the harbour, a bit of shame not to really, but the lack of facilities for extra, extra, extra large sadly keeps them away. Never mind, plenty of boats will take you to see them and there some excellent whale spotting headlands around Sydney to see them from.
